GREAT NEWS!

We found what may be the first article on the Pittsburgh Irish Rowing Club! It is in an archived format, so you will have to work with it as you would microfiche--but it is definitely worth the time:

  • Special thanks to Groveton Boat Club for hosting the regatta, and to Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle for hosting the awards reception

Practice Information

  • Practice for the 2011 season begin soon--as always, weather and river conditions permitting.
  • Practices are held during the rowing season (Weather and River Conditions Permitting): Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. for current rowers (10:00 a.m. for first-year rowers)
  • We have a new location for 2011--Groveton Marina on the west bank of the Ohio River, in the back channel of Neville Island

This is an intense sport--contact Patrick Clark for tryout information.
